
Debbie HarryRock and Roll Hall of Fame band Blondie headed by vocalist/songwriter Deborah Harry, an icon from 1970s punk rock era, rocked a packed house at Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center with a non-stop demonstration of why the group has flourished for over 30 years. Performing many old standards like “Heart of Glass,” "The Tide is High,” “One Way or Another” along with an eclectic array of many great songs, the new Blondie formed in 1997 also performed “Maria,” a recent hit and kept the audience on their feet most of the evening swaying to the beat. Delfina BlaquierVered Gallery in East Hampton hosted a star studded reception for horse enthusiast Delfina Blaquier, an Argentinean photographer with polo in her bloodline, whose archival metallic chromogenic prints measure 60 x 72 and larger. In honor of the Hampton Classic Horse show Vered, East Hampton’s first and premiere gallery, is also showing additional equine artwork by Steven Klein, Andre Masson, Elisabett Gudman and Kirk H. Slaughter along with their renowned collection of modern and contemporary artists from Avery and Avedon to Warhol and Wyeth. Tropical storm Earl did not diminish the attendance or the spirits of the polo fans that came to support Delfina including producer Marty Richards, Kelly Klein, Neil Hirsch Polo player Nacho Figueras.
